Meyers and will train him for the New York sportsman Guilford tired badly after going six furlongs in his race on Tuesday. It looks as if this colt is a non-stayer. Major "White, who succeeded "W. P. Fra-zer as secretary of the Ontario Jockey Club, will be at Pimlico next week to confer With Frank J. Bryan and J. B. Campbell, who will be on the official staff at "Woodbine. Jack Joyner complimented Carroll Read on the success his employer is experiencing this spring in that the first fourteen foals to arrive at Holly Beach farm arc colts. All of the George D. Widener mares that have foaled at Erdenheimi this spring have foaled fillies. Trainer Read is quite enthusiastic over the get of the imported Sir Greysteel. According to Read they have plenty of speed, which, of course; is the first essential of a good race horse. T. J. Healey, head trainer of the Harry Payne "Whitney establishment, came over from Brookdale to witness the running of the Aberdeen stakes, in which Pennate and Equipoise, both winners at Havre de Grace, carried the famous light blue and brown cap. Tommy Murphy, who looks after the Green-tree stable, made the trip from New York to saddle Surf "Board in the Aberdeen stakes. Jockey F. Booker left this morning for "Wheeling, "W. Va., where he will ride as a free lance.
