FAST WORK AT LOUISVILLE Kentucky Oaks Candidates Show Good Form — Mike Hall Covers Mile in 1:41%. LOUISVILLE, Ky., May 4.— An exceptional race is in prospect as candidates for Saturdays renewal of the 0,000 added Kentucky Oaks, meet in the mile Lilies of the Valley Purse, here Tuesday. Overlay worked five-eighths in 1:01% handily, and Silver Beauty and In Haste breezed a half in company in :50%. Mike Hall, R. M. Eastmans winner of the Agua Caliente Handicap, and winner of over 00,000, had his second brisk trial since arriving here from H. P. Headleys Beaumont Farm, when he worked one mile over the firm fast track this morning. He circled the course in 1:41%, His rider, maintaining a steady hold throughout, rated him over the half mile in :50% and the three-quarters in 1:16":;.
