| AURORA TURF NOTES $, $ AURORA, 111., May 4. Pot Full pulled up lame after being worked this morning, and was excused from starting today. Frank Sullivan, owner of the horses Brooksie, Chub and Silver Leaf, was an arrival by motor from San Francisco. Jockey L. Fage, who suffered a fall on Saturday, resumed riding this afternoon, but jockeys Gianelloni and Vercher were still absent from the saddle. Vercher is in the hospital with a broken nose. A notice was posted today by the stewards stating that telegrams of track information signed or purporting to be signed by jockey John Longdon were forgeries and the guilty persons, if identified, would be ruled off. Mrs. John Morrissey, wife of the assistant starter, is reported to be resting easily after undergoing a serious operation on Saturday. Wise Cheer, Anavah and King at Arms were taken off the schooling list this morning. Alf Tarn, owner of a string racing at Aurora, is reported to be quite ill in a Winnipeg, Manitoba, hospital. Basil Smith, who will assist starter Morrissey at Aurora, was a belated arrival from California. Responding to several requests on the part of the horsemen, the management ordered the racing strip cut up over the week-end. Owners complained that several horses were pulling up none too well, and the track today, while still hard underneath, had a soft top cushion. Jockey P. Wilhoit was slightly indisposed this afternoon and jockey L. Geving was substituted for him on Margaret Parker in the first race. Jockey R. Heigle accepted his first mount in some time when he rode Iskum in the two-year-old race. Increasing weight has kept the boy from the saddle. Princeton cut himself in the early part of the second race, which was in all probability the cause of his bearing out at the stretch turn. a- .
