LATONIA, Ky., June 15.— Dates for four of the six rich fixtures to be renewed during the thirty-one-day meeting of the Latonia Jockey Club, opening Saturday, June 27 were contained in a supplementary announcement of stake dates made today by Charles F. Price, presiding steward in charge of the racing. Dates for the renewals of the Cincinnati Trophy, Latonia Oaks, Clipsetta Stakes and Enquirer Handicap were given out in the announcement, it having previously been decided and announced that the 5,000 added Latonia Derby would be run on Saturday, June 27, and the 0,000 added Independence Handicap on Saturday, July 4. Additional stake dates, completing th« schedule for the meeting, as announced today by Mr. Price, follow: Saturday, July 11 — Cincinnati Trophy, 0,-000 added, for two-year-old colts and geldings, six furlongs. Saturday, July 18 — Enquirer Handicap, 0,000 added, for three-year-olds and over, one mile and a sixteenth. Saturday, July 25— Clipsetta Stakes, 0,-000 added, for two-year-old fillies, five and one-half furlongs. Saturday, August 1 — Latonia Oaks, 0,000 added, for three-year-old fillies, one mile and a quarter. The Derby, over the testing distance of one mile and one-half, is expected to engage Twenty Grand, winner of the Kntucky Derby; Mate, successful in the Preakness Stakes; Ladder, second in the Withers Stakes and third in the Preakness Stakes; Sweep All, second in the Kentucky Derby; Pittsburgher, beaten western favorite in the Kentucky Derby and recent winner over Sweep All and other Latonia Derby candidates at Washington Park; Knights Call, Oswego, Anchors Aweigh, Spanish Play„ Lightning Bolt, War, Boys Howdy, Scot* lands Glory, Burning Up, Chief John and others. Cousin Jo, successful in the Kentucky Oaks and beaten a nose by Alyssum in the Illinois Oaks, are among the probable starters in the Latonia Oaks. The sixty-nine eligibles for the closing day feature also include Alyssum, Sunny Lassie, Overlay, Silver Beauty, Anne Arundel, Martha Jones, Betty Derr, Plumage, Tambour, La France and Laila Wild, among others. The Enquirer and Independence Handicaps will bring out the best in the handicap division, while the leading juveniles will be seen in the Clipsetta, for fillies, and Trophyg for colts and geldings.
