SKRIP improved his position steadily after going half the distance and, saving ground in the stretch, lasted to hold RAMUS. The latter began slowly and was shuffled back early, but finished gamely on the outside and barely missed. TRED AVON finished well. BEAUTIFUL DOLL and CLARET tired after setting the pace. TONEYS STAR showed a flash of early speed. OPIOPIO began slowly, dashed into contention in the first quarter, but tired badly from his earlv efforts. PEGGY J. was pocketed in the early running. BRYONIA lost little time taking the lead and, showing much early speed, got to the end to win easily BALLYHOO came again after being in close quarters on the stretch turn and held PRINCESS IVRE. The latter also continued gamely on the inside after dropping back on the stretch turn and was going well at the end. ADOBE POST was cut off and forced to pull up in the first quarter, then dashed up to the leaders on the outside in the last quarter, but tired thereafter. MARY BORAH was blocked and forced to pull up after leaving the back stretch. FLYING dashed into contention on the outside soon after the start, but tired BY WIRE also tired.
