DUFFERIN FAVORITE FALLS Abduction in Accident in Toronto feature — Platers Furnish Entertainment for Large Crowd. ! TORONTO, Ont., June 15.— Platers supplied the entertainment at Dufferin Park today, each of the seven races having the claiming clause attached. Occupying the feature position on the program was the fifth, which had its decision over the six and one-half furlongs. This was marked with some rough riding going into the .first turn, with the result that the favorite, Abduction, was knocked off stride and fell. Fortunately, his rider, C. Ralls, was uninjured. Ralls had the presence of mind to get up, take hold of Abduction, walk him over • to the outside rail then keeled over. After a brief rest he was able to return to the jockeys quarters and rode Sun Persian in the sixth race. The winner was Altsheib, ridden by J. Pollard. The latter, fortunate to avoid the crowding on the turn, took a good lead, dominated the race, and Pollard was looking back all through the stretch. Six lengths in back of the winner came Uppity, which i in turn, was four lengths in advance of Dan Baum. Uppity was under severe punishment in the last three furlongs and could never menace the winner, while Danbaum passed tiring horses in the last quarter. Fair weather continued, and another large gathering was on hand at Dufferin Park, and, although the racing was lacking in 1 class, the sport was interesting. * —
