TAMERLANE was placed on the outside of ROSELYS, raced ROYAL CASTA into defeat turning into the stretch and, finishing fast, wore down the pacemaker in the final sixteenth. ROSELYS began fast, saved ground, but could not match the winners final rush. LADS RUN, outpaced early, came fast on the outside in the stretch. ROYAL CASTA raced forwardly from the start, but tired in the last eighth. MONT DAISY raced steadilv throughout. SONATA, working his way up on the inside, hung on with good courage to contest the final issue. HANDIWORKER raced on the outside practically all the way and ran a good race. HOBCAW got throughout on the inside at the first turn and saved ground throughout, but tired in the late stages. IMPOSSIBLE closed stoutly under strong handling. DON GASPER prominent early, quit in the final eighth.
