GLAD EFFORT saved ground throughout, but was doing his best at the end to withstand MARABOU. The latter closed fast in, the stretch, as did THE MAJOR. MOTE began in a tangle and could not eet up. DR. The latter opened up a long early lead, but tired after reaching the stretch. STARZAN tired badly after showing early speed. The others were always outrun.
