BRILLIANT BUD moved into command on the elbow and had no mishaps. LINGUIST finished resolutely under urging. DOLLY DEE was a factor throughout. CHIEFS CAMILLE showed early speed. BLEAK finished well. NUMBER FOUR was under urging in the early stages. EP had no mishaps. SKIPPY L. was on the outside of the leaders throughout. HALOED and FLAG MAIDEN were in close quarters and knocked back. BANNER DAY jumped well, but w#s outrun on the flat. SPINNER had no speed. BILLYCOCK was outrun. TASMAN showed speed to the first turn. KIANG took the wrong course after taking the last jump. The latter, a factor throughout, saved ground and held on gamely. LADY CAPULET was outrun to the stretch and finished over tired horses. EDDIE AHEARN was outrun early. POLYGAMOUS had no mishaps. JAMESTOWN, fractious at the start, began well, was taken under restraint, but tried to bear out midwav of the turn and sulked in the stretch.
