f CLAIMS AND SALES 4, G. F. Jenkins, at private terms, has purchased from Mrs. O. Chaney the plater Sun Meddler. Scatter was claimed from the fourth race for ,500 by J. E. Smallman. Parker C. Thompson, Chicagoan and owner of the Jackson Park Stable, reports that he has sold the bay mare Meridianese to the South American Jockey Club, Buenos Aires, Argentine. Baron Long today sold Segunda, two-year-old filly which ran second in a juvenile race at Agua Caliente to L. A. Denker, an old time race track man from Los Angeles. Segunda, meaning "Second," finished second. She is a daughter of Runstar and Betty Aid en. Charlie McCroan will train Segunda for the new owner. H. G. Knott sold Finnath to Mrs. J. G. Br.own, and the racer carried the Brown colors at Jefferson Thursday. Schooner, which was leased to the Pasadena Stable for the summer, has been turned back to his original owner Marvin Allen. The Pasadena Stable purchased Marvina and Joe Flores, which were leased from the same turfman at Agua Caliente.
