MARGARET PARKER held the others safe for speed, drew away on the lower turn under light restraint, saved ground entering the stretch and, responding gamely under a hand ride, outlasted PRIORY in tha final drive. PRIORY, close up throughout, was in close quarters on tho stretch turn, closed resolutely when clear, but was unable to improve his position. BOUNDER, racing forwardly on the outside from the start, swerved to the inside in the final eighth when placed under punishment. SUN MASK, rated off the early pace and, saving ground on the turn, was sharply blocked entering the stretch and had no chance thereafter. CAPORAL II. closed resolutely on his own courage. LAWYER, hard urged, was kept closest to the leader in the early stages, gained steadily in the final eighth and won going away. MORTIME showed his usual high speed in the first three-eighths, then began to tire, but lasted long enough to outstay GAY PAL. The latter, fractious at the post, began in stride from the outside and, responding gamely under punishment, was gaining fast in the closing strides. STARBOARD LIGHT raced on his own courage throughout and easily disposed of the others. CAPTAINS GIRL was crowded and forced back shortly after the start. ELIZABETH FOX, on the inside throughout, met repeated interference, but closed gamely. PRINCE SWEEP was shuffled back early. WINNIE C. was pulled up at the half-mile post.
