PLANS FORSPANISH PLAY NEW ORLEANS, La., Jari. 7 Spanish Play, winner of the last Louisiana Derby, run over the Jefferson Park track, may-make his first appearance under colors as a four-year-old at that local course. The son of Spanish Prince n. is rapidly approaching racing condition and may be started in a race during the closing week of the meeting, according to C. H. Knebelkamp, who owns the brilliant racer in partnership with Richard Morris. Following a hard cam- paign last year, Spanish Play was turned out in Kentucky for two months and his preparation for a resumption of racing, inaugurated early last fall, has been a safe and slow one.
