Infinitus, which races for H C. Rumage, was an easy winner of the fourth race, the best offering of the seven-race program at Oriental Park. He showed the way at the finish of the six furlongs distance to A. Brents Timon, while in third place was A. Pelleteris Scapegoat. The winner was ridden by T. Roderick and he was a pronounced choice with the crowd. He turned in the best effort of the day from a time standpoint. The race was run over a track that was pronounced good and before a good-sized week-day crowd. Infinitus, which opened an odds-on choice, drifted up slightly toward the end, due to the pronounced support given Timon. The latter was backed from 5 to 3 at the finish. Scapegoat was another that was given considerable support. There was no delay at the start and when the barrier was released Roderick had Infinitus away with the leaders. He quickly sprinted into command and displayed fine speed in the early stages. Thistle Duke, Timon and Scapegoat were clase after him, with the latter on the outside. Turning for home Roderick saved ground with the leader, while Timon lost" a length or two by a wider turn. In the stretch Infinitus held his speed and at the end had a safe advantage over Timon. The latter in turn had a bigger margin over Scapegoat, which tired at the finish.
