HAVANA TURF NOTES s : : J. Hi Louchheim, a Philadelphia sportsman, arrived here today for an extended visit. He was accompanied by Leonard Blum-berg, also of that city. Frank Keough, who has been here for some time, left for Palm Beach. Dr. F. W. Ashe, associate steward, resumed his duties following a brief illness. Joe Millar has been engaged to train the horses of Lew Black. The horses were to be trained by Frank Byer, who recently wrote that he would be unable to arrive here for some time. D. R. Yates has taken over Tang for Miss B. Bowman, and Popcorn for J. Y. Christmas to train. The horsey heretofore were trained by Bob Hayes. Word was received today that jockey O. Marsh, who had been riding at Tanforah", ivould arrive here in a day or so. George Remus, Cincinnati enthusiast, arrived for an extensive visit. Eleven horses are on the schooling list as follows: Judge Bartlett, Judge Dixon, My Caroline, Filbert, Era, Retort, Harry Hie-! over, Polar Sea, Fair Folly, Johnny Campbell, Ronald Grey. Eight Hour, which was cut down in his race, was destroyed. P. D. Codd, who was a patient at the Anglo Saxon hospital, was discharged yesterday and took over the horses that he is training- here. J. H. "Red" McGrath was an arrival from New York for a visit Trainer R. T. Watts suffered a badly lacerated hand and a dislocated shoulder this morning. He was "roping" Bagiel and the latter suddenly became .alarmed and bolted. Watts "was thrown violently to the ground, but gamely clung to the rope, which burned his hands. Jockey T. Roderick, who had been riding here on a call to E. McCuan, dissolved that call this morning by mutual consent. Rodericks contract is held by F. Hudson.
