WALKERS STRING AT PIMLICO Virginia Breeder arid Turfman Ships Thirty-Six Horses to Old fill Maryland Course. PIMLICO, Md., Feb. 4. Capt. P. M. Walker, the Virginia, breeder and turfman, has moved in here with thirty-six thoroughbreds, including the Sage Stables Microphone, candidate for the 0,000 Preakness, May 14. The Virginian, who will train the horses of Mrs. F. Ambrose Clark and the Sage Stable, in addition to his own this year, has some good lookers in his care. Microphone appears to have filled out considerably during his winters let-up and horsemen here are anxious to see him on the track. Walkers band is the largest in training here. There are many horses on the grounds, including the Le Mar Stock Farm string, in charge of trainer Casey, which includes the Preakness candidate, Miscalculate. Trainers Walker and Casey have their charges well engaged in stakes to be run this spring at Bowie, Havre de Grace and Pimlico. Track superintendent John Ryan, aided by an open winter, has the track in good condition. Horses are galloping over it daily and from now on this historic course will be the scene of much activity.
