MES. LAWRENCE JONES DIES LOUISVILLE, Ky., Feb. 4 Mrs. Mamie Peabody Jones, wife of Lawrence Jones, member of the board of directors of Churchill Downs, died Wednesday at Norton Infirmary. Mr. Jones raced a string of horses for a number of years, having as his trainer the veteran, Dan Lehan, and one of his sons-in-law, B. O. Hickman, is a breeder as well as a campaigner of thoroughbreds who resides in Jefferson county. Frazier Lebus, of Lexington, a member of the Kentucky State Racing Commission, is also a son-in-law of Lawrence Jones.
