The latter showed improvement HOOTINANY stumbled at the start, then closed a gap. ARGUE was outrun all the way. VOWED VENGEANCE showed a very poor performance and was never a factor. DEALER headed the field after going half the distance, but could not resist the first two. THE ORLEANIAN closed ground to finish well. HOMEWOOD was through after going three-quarters. RELEASED and ALTAVAR tired badly in the run home.
