FENWICK BUYS ERVAST AGUA CALIENTE, Mexico, Feb. 10. At private sale yesterday Walter Fenwick, who trained for the suspended Baron Long stable, purchased six horses from the prominent California breeder. He acquired Ervast, Ono, Wirt, Nacho, Dupee and one other. Terms of the sale were private. It is the intention of president James N. Crofton, of the Agua Caliente Jockey Club, to sell the majority of his horses, but it is likely that he will retain the useful handicap performer, Up, which is now ailing and possibly a couple of two-yeai-olds. These will be campaigned in the East during the summer. Mr. Crofton may also purchase a high-class handicap performer now in training at this course for summer racing.
