T f.FAIR GROUNDS TURF NOTES $ A party including Congressman Frank Reed of Illinois, George Peterson, L. Sachs and "Packy" McFarland entrained today for Chicago, after "spending several days here, chiefly in the interests of Mississippi River improvements. William Durnan, owner-trainer, left for Detroit where his brother was fatally injured in an automobile accident yesterday. M. Webb Offutt, breeder and owner of Georgetown, Ky., is a visitor and. the guest of H. Cavanaugh, who has a -large stable here. S. "Chief" Johnson has taken over the veteran Prince Sport. Johnsons colors will be carried by Chatterrene in the opening race here tomorrow. Mrs. Olive Curtis, owner of a large stable racing here under the direction of L. A. Connor, and her husband are expected from New York for a two weeks stay. Mr. Curtis is a prominent New York broker.
