BLUE ARAB, away slowly, moved up with a rush in the first eighth and, racing MAKE SPEED into defeat, drew clear at the eighth post and, taken under restraint, won as his rider pleased. EL PUMA, closer up than usual in the early stages, challenged gamely when called upon, but could not overhaul the winner. SANSARICA, away well, dropped out of it in the first three-eighths, saved ground entering the stretch and, closing resolutely under punishment, easily disposed of MAKE SPEED in the stretch. MINT DRIFT began clear of interference and, taking a short lead in the first sixteenth, continued gamely under energetic handling and outlasted LADY BRACADALE in the final drive. The latter, away fast, but forced out after the start, moved into contention rapidly when clear and challenged gamely. OSWEGO PRINCESS began from outside the machine, swerved at the start, but responded resolutely in the stretch and outlasted ALGERIA. The latter raced straight and had no excuses. JEAN BROWN met interference. JANE BOGGESS showed early speed, but tired in the stretch. TRY COME was crowded out of it early. The latter, slow to get going, closed ;fast on the outside in the stretch. PHANTOM ROCK disposed of LA GOLONDRINA. The latter was used up racing HIEOVER into defeat. FAIR BLANCHE was weakly handled. DONIE, hardurged throughout, closed resolutely in the stretch. BRAGGADOCIO, under restraint for half a mile, finished resolutely under mild pressure. BRUSH weakened and iust manaeed to outstay LION HEARTED. The latter was taken on a zig zag course and finished fast on his own courage. PRINCE TOY quit the stretch run. GORMOND had no excuses.
