ATHLONE LASS, close up throughout, went to the outside of the leaders in the stretch and, finishing resolutely, outgamed GOLDEN TITLE at the end. The latter moved up with a rush on the inside in the stretch and held on well. KEEWATIN raced close up early, took the lead at the eighth post, but tired. DAVE MILLER saved ground and had no excuses.
