TOP FLIGHT HEADS AGE LIST Joe McCarty Rates Unbeaten Whitney Filly at Top of Three -Year-Old Division. SARATOGA SPRINGS, N. Y., Feb. 11. Joe McCarty, the local handicapper whose thoroughbred ratings are generally accepted by students of racing, makes C. V. Whitneys unbeaten filly, Top Flight, far superior to other members of the three-year-old division this year. McCarty has just issued his revised ratings for the 1932 "Derby division" and he handicaps the daughter of Dis Done and Flyatit at 130 pounds. He puts the Loma Stables Tick On, on the same poundage mark, but on the scale the filly tops the colt by five pounds. McCarty rates Tick On four pounds and the filly nine pounds over the scale, sex allowance included. E. R. Bradleys Burgoo King and the Dorwood Stables Morfair are rated at scale, 126 pounds. All the other members of the three-year-old class are under the scale, T. M. Cassidys Universe being one pound under the standard; W. R. Coes Osculator two pounds under, and J. J. Robinsons Lucky Tom three pounds under. With interest quickening in the Kentucky Derby, Preakness, Classic, Belmont and other outstanding stakes for three-year-olds, McCartys figures are of particular interest at this time.
