r "BRUEN DENIES RUMORS OF j TROPICAL PARK MEETING J BEING DECLARED OFF . . .-1 MIAMI, Fla., Feb. 11 Frank J. Bruen, the managing director of the Gables Racing Association, has made an emphatic denial of the report that the second Tropical Park meeting would not be conducted. This denial came by long distance phone from New York. "There is absolutely no foundation to the rumor that Tropical Park will not conduct its spring meeting. We will open February 29 and continue until March 19, the dates awarded by the Florida Racing Commission. "We are all ready for the second meeting. The badges are all printed and the. mutuel tickets will be off the press by next week. Our entire force has been chosen and it is a great surprise to me that there should be any report that we were not to open. There never has been any question about our second meeting." Mr. Bruen said he would probably be back in Miami Monday.
