EXHILARATE, slow to find her stride, moved up with a rush around the turn and, shaking off LADY ARA with little effort, tired suddenly in the last seventy yards and .was under strong pressure to hold her advantage safe. MOVE ALONG, forced wide all the way, finished gamely and outlasted KITTY BRUCE. The latter took command in the first quarter, then dropped back and appeared to bear out and was weakly handled in the stretch. FOREIGN PLAY had no mishaps. LADY ARA quit badly in the final eighth. IPRAL. a contender throughout, was sandwiched in between the leaders in the final eighth, but responded gamely in the final drive and wore down DRY RIDGE in the final stride. DRY RIDGE, quickest to get going, drew clear early and held on gamely when challenged, but Kummer outrode Mann in the drive. SWAGGER STICK moved up n.eisacingly at the sixteenth post, then tired right at the end. DOME, bumped off his stride at the start, recovered fast and Finished resolutely under ureing. ST. POLYGAMOUS, racing in his best form, followed the leaders closely under restraint until straightened out in the stretch, where he took command at his leisure, winning with speed to spare. BROOKSIE, improved, showed good speed and, saving ground early, held on" gamely when challenged, but was no match for the -winner. EVER FAITHFUL, hard urged and prominent throughout, easily held the others safe. JUNE MOON saved much ground entering the stretch. ROCKTOR bore out on the turn and forced CAPTAIN ED wide. STAR LASSIE, saving ground early, gradually improved her position and, coming in between the leaders entering the stretch, took command, then bore out in the stretch and was hard urged to hold ESSIE safe. The latter, under restraint until midway around the turn, moved up fast when called upon and, taken to the inside of the leader, challenged gamely, but could not get up. KENSINGTON worked her way up on the outside on the stretch turn, but lost much ground, yet was an easy going third. CHICAGO GIRL, under pressure, tired in the final quarter. VANDER POOL, strongly handled, displayed keen speed while saving ground in the early stages, responded determinedly to intermittent punishment in the final three-sixteenths mile and outlasted his opposition to the end. PANETIAN, on the outside but in close attendance of the leader throughout, finishd with good courage and was gaining slowly in the final sixteenth mile. DON LEON slipped through on the inside after leaving the back stretch and steadily improved his position, then came around the leaders when straightened out in the stretch, finishing fastest of all. MY DANDY and ULUNTU were never able to improve their positions. BACK LOG showed speed for a half mile, then was eased up. Overweight Uluniu, 1 pounds. fiandkandl SIXTH RACE 7-8 Mile. OATEN, close up all the way, easily disposed of the others in the closing eighth MONTANARO showed poor speed and never threatened.
