I FAIR GROUNDS TURF NOTES I k s Jockey Harold Thomas resumes riding Thursday following a suspension of fifteen days for rough riding while astride Camp Douglas. Edward Haughton returned today from Dallas and mapped out a brisk week of campaigning for his horses, following which they will be shipped to Lexington. Upon arrival at the Kentucky Association track they will be thrown out of training and after a months rest, prepared for the Kentucky spring meetings. Applications for licenses under the Maryland State Racing Commission were received by Joseph McLennan and are available to horsemen at his office. Before leaving for Kentucky, where he will take up the horses of Fred. M. Grabner, Chicago owner, Frank Swain turned Sym Jack and Just Buck, two-year-olds, over to J. M. Dale, former rider, to train. The youngsters will be campaigned through the remainder of the Fair Grounds season. R. C. Thatchers likely three-year-old, Ikard, has been unsexed and will not resume racing until the Kentucky spring meetings. The sale of horses in training to be held Thursday morning, beginning at 10:30 oclock, will be in the paddock at the Fair Grounds. Previously the Kentucky Bloodstock Sales Company, in charge of the sale, used a private paddock just outside the grounds and the change to the Fair Grounds enclosure prevents weather from interfering. Sidney Trenchard had his first mount of the meeting when he rode Zahn in the first race Wednesday. The horses of the Sophia Lee Stable, namely Albazano, Ironsides, Mole Hill, Prickly Heat and My Movie, were added to the sale to be held tomorrow. C. El Gross, trainer of the Knebelkamp and Morris Stable, was fined 0 by the stewards for entering Jack Murphy for a race to which he was not eligible.
