ROWE JR. MEMORIAL HANDICAP Wotan, Prince Atheling, Renaissance and Others in Todays Feature at Fair Grounds. ; NEW ORLEANS, La., Feb. 17. With Wotan, Prince Atheling, Renaissance, Chokoloskee and Mine Sweeper among the nine horses named for the race, the James Rowe, Jr., Memorial Handicap, to be run over one mile and a sixteenth at the Fair Grounds Thursday, should result in a hard fought contest. Wotan, outstanding handicap racer of the current New Orleans season and winner of the Mardi Gras Handicap in his last start, will carry top weight of 120 pounds, and Renaissance, J. J. Robinsons good three-year-old and candidate for the Louisiana Derby, must carry 110 pounds. Prince Atheling is in under 111 pounds and weights for the others scale down to as low as ninety-five for Black Fool. This event, named in honor of the memory of the late brilliant young horseman, is one of the most attractive week-day features arranged during the meeting. M.
