FAIR GROUNDS TURF NOTES i s H. Cavanaugh took out papers to act as agent for L. A. Wilkerson, owner of Belen and others racing here. Following a short rest Night Cry and Lynn Barkley, which E. B. Thomas has here for J. H. Downing of Lexington, are ready to resume racing. H G. Goelitz, extensively interested in thoroughbreds and in partnership with hi3 brother a breeder on a generous scale at their farm near Wheaton, 111., was an arrival and will spend a few days here. A number of horses to carry the Goelitz colors during the coming season and wintered at the farm go -into training this week. Mrs. A. Luzader sold to J. Cornell the three-year-old Red Shadow and older Bal-zar. The consideration was private. A division of the stable of F. A. Carreaud that may include Kincsen, eligible for the New Orleans Handicap, to be run March 12, may be shipped here from Hialeah Park, I whence Kincsen will be returned following her engagement ia the Independence Han dicap at Oriental Park today. George Brooks has had five horses for Carreaud here for. some time. A. Pelleteri was out today for the firsf time since undergoing a minor operation a, week ago. If none of the first twelve, in the order o post positions for the first race Thursday is withdrawn, Fleeting Gold, added to the race after entries were closed, will be permitted to start. Fleeting Golds entry was omitted through error and the horse wa assigned post position, thirteen.
