ROGERS dropped out of it slightly when racing wide on the stretch turn and, responding to pressure when straightened out in the final quarter, was up to win in the final strides. RED VEST, close up from the start but taken back repeatedly while in close quarters on the inside on the turn, withstood the drive gamely and, taking the lead, just failed to outlast the winner. GREYLOCK, a strong factor all the wav, lost ground in the early stages and tired in the stretch. UPRISE held on fairly well. GRAPHITE, away slowly, raced sluggishly. MOTIVE and STRATHCONA quit. TWISTED THREADS gamed a big advantage at the start and, taken under light restraint when outrun by FORGET NOT, sharply impeded UMA on the Stretch turn and, taking the lead, crossed to the inside when clear in the last eighth and won drawing away. PROMETHEUS responded strongly in the stretch, was eased .up when the winner bore over, but recovered quickly and closed fast. FORGET NOT, rushed into the lead, raced wide in the final three-eighths and tired in the drive. UMA was racing well on the inside when taken up sharply on the stretch turn. PRINCESS NIGHT quit. JUST UMBER tired after challenging. STEEL was under urging all the way. SUN-.VALA began fast from outside the machine, but could not keep up. The latter, close up from the start, quickly wore down RUSTY when called upon and held on well, but was not good enough. RUSTY showed speed under a weak ride and dropped back slowly in the stretch. PRIMEVAL, lucky to escape crowding on the first turn, was under light restraint until the final Quarter where she easily wore down MISS ONINE, but had to be ridden out. The latter, taken across sharply going to the first turn caused much crowding, but gained a big advantage; was well rated and, while no match for the winner .held second place safe. LADY SWEET, also taken across sharply shortly after the start, showed speed, but tired badly after three-quarters. KITTY WILKINS almost fell in the jam on the first turn SUNNY PORT had a rough race. GENEROLA was outrun.
