Alec Gordon has taken over the lease which was held by Mrs. Graham Fair Van-derbilt on the private stable, which was built a few years ago for the Fair Stable. Three gray horses paraded to the post in the Greentree Steeplechase, Oesel, St. Francis and Indigo. "Happy" Buxton was forced to scratch his mount in the pony race. Pancho accompanied J. H. Louchheims Economic to Chicago from Cleveland, where the three-year-old is destined for the American Derby. The jockeys, who donated their fees of the day to the Nassau County Emergency Bureau for the benefit of the Nassau County unemployed, were: A. Robertson, B. Han* ford, H. Elston, P. Walls, R. Wholey, Mack Garner and C. Kurtsinger. J. P. Smith claimed Blind Bowboy out of the final race Friday, from E. R. Bradley, for ,500. E. R. Bradley stated that Burgoo King would be shipped to Chicago June 11 to fill his engagement in the American Derby. A. J. Joyner, Henry McDaniel, George Herbert Daly and Max Hirsch served as stewards of the day. In the race that Hirsch had a starter he was replaced by J. H. Smith. Tom Healey started the lead pony race, with George Odom serving as patrol judge for that fixture.
