t LAT0NIA TURF NOTES | £ $ Willis Sharpe Kilmers . Suntica, winner of the Kentucky and Illinois Oaks, will be ; at Latonia for her Oaks engagement. Resident • manager Russell Sweeney received word from Chicago that trainer Jack Whyte ; stated that the daughter of Sun Briar would 1 be returned west for her Arlington Oaks s engagement and from thei£ would come to I Latonia for the Oaks. She and Dark Charmer were named for the Classic by W. S. Kilmer. S. J. Hazard, after several years absence from the track, is training Rare Charm, Le-bretto I and Odd Legs for the Kenton Farm , Stable and will make application for a trainers license at the Latonia meeting. Before departing from Bainbridge, J. B. ; Respess sold the three-year-old St. Nazaire I to C. H. Knebelkamp and he was shipped 1 to Chicago with Adobe Post, which finished i fourth in the Kentucky Derby. A large number of horsemen are planning r on going from here to Washington Park for r the American Derby. Johnny Daniels, J. B. Respess, Charles Nolte, W. H. White-house and others have signified their intentions of taking in the big classic. W. H. Whitehouse has ten yearlings which 1 will be taken up and broken the last of I July. Owner Whitehouse, who is offering 5 all of his stock for sale, plans to dispose of the juveniles privately. Those not dis-joosed s- of maybe offered at auction during g I 5 s- g the Latonia fall meeting. Among his splen-e i- did crop of yearlings is a full brother to the le stake winner Royal Julian, being a bay ty son of Royal II. and Julia L.
