SEMAPHORE, away quickly, drew into a brief lead and, rated along steadily, came again after being outrun and finished gamely under urging. ALL ROWES moved up with a rush on the far turn and held on well under pressure. DESPOIL, hard ridden through the stretch on the inside, made up ground slowly. CAMBAL saved ground in the early stages, but was taken to the outside on the stretch turn. PARAMOUR wheeled at the start and unseated his rider. WATSONIA forced the pace from the start, landed badly at the fourteenth fence and tired thereafter. BEACON HILL was jumping well when he fell at the sixteenth fence. MASKED KNIGHT forced a fast pace, raced DOUBLE HEART into defeat and held on well. MOINE improved his position under urging, came through . on the inside on the stretch turn and finished well.
