« WOODCOCK AT HOMEWOOD HOMEWOOD, 111., June 8.— Treve Woodcock, whose fame as a trainer of the lamented Phar Lap, Australian wonder horse, is known around the world, arrived at Washington Park this afternoon from Belmont Park with W. S. Kilmers American Derby candidate, Sunmelus, and the same owners Dark Conquest and Dark Winter, eligibles for the Curran Memorial Stakes, to be run here Saturday. In the same car with the Kilmer trio came W. J. Salmons Mad Pursuit and W. R. Coes Osculator, other easterners after American Derby honors. Mad Pursuit was consigned to trainer Jack Pryce and Osculator to Burley Parke. Both Pryce and Parke have had divisions of their employers stables at the Homewood track since the opening of the meeting.
