Won driving ; second and third the same. j i PRINCETON, starting from the extreme outside, went to the leaders with good speed leaving the back stretch, took command in the stretch and outlasted BUD BROOM in the final drive. The latter, never far back, moved up resolutely in the closing quarter, but was unable to reach the winner. MY KITTY closed fast on the outside in the stretch. HOSTAGE, on the inside throughout, was racing resolutely at the end. HIEAWAY showed good speed in the first half mile. DEWEY FLY, under pressure from the start, tired. The latter worked his way up gradually and closed with a belated rush. SIR BYRON finished resolutely. MARTEAU closed a cap in the last quarter. TOE DANCE showed early speed, then tired badly in the closing eighth. SANTA CREST, a factor from the start, wore down CRICULET for the lead and, hard urged, just lasted to hold KINGSWAY safe. The latter, in close quarters leaving the back stretch, went to the outside in the last eighth and was wearing down the winner. CIRCULET, much used in wresting command from JEAN ODOON, was unable to gain his usual lead and tired in the stretch. SEA KALE closed a gap. CLARRY was racing well at the end. MAGNIFICO was sent into a good lead and held on well. DUNLINS LAD saved ground. CUCHULAIN closed some ground. WESTY JUNIOR showed good speed, but tired. RUBIO was never a factor. ROYAL RUFFIN trailed the others. MONOCLE closed a cap. TRAUMAGNE showed early speed. FETISH was never a ferious factor. DOCTOR T. moved up briefly on the far turn. DICK PORTER closed gamely. PRETTY POSE showed early speed.
