LAT0NIA TURF NOTES c William J. Hirsch, son of Max Hirsch, arrived from Washington Park with three three-year-olds and five two-year-olds. Roscoe Goose unloaded three, the property of Marvin May, five that he directs for Laffoon and Yeiser and two of his own. On arrival he took over four two-year-olds shipped here from Louisville. - Nine horses comprised the shipment that H. Cavanaugh brought from Chicago for various owners. Manta heads the stable. Jockey Melvin Knight accompanied Edward McCuan here from Washington Park. Charles Nolte, track superintendent, stated that all the stall room had been exhausted and advised horsemen not to ship to Latonia unless they have reservations. Edward Haughtons stable was increased by four head yesterday and two others will be added to the string next week. From Lexington Haughton received Lady Oldham, Suffrage, Black Botha and Sand. Yucatan and Witch Way come from his Spring Lake Farm within a few days. Charles E. Patterson has five horses here for P. T. Chinn and one each for J. H. Patterson and Lyne and Drake. Grattan, Lim-bus, Loyal Louie, Opium and Calaria will carry the Chinn colors.
