ARLINGTON PARK NOTES and Post time for the first race at Arlington Park will continue to be at 2:30 oclock daylight saving time until the completion of the Democrtaic national convention, it was announced by racing secretary Joseph McLennan. Many delegates and visitors to the Democratic convention were on hand for the opening of the meeting, including a large number of the Tammany group from New York, who also attended the supper given by Lau-ence Armour and John Hertz for them and for directors of the Arlington Park Jockey Club. Edward R. Bradley came from New York and will remain throughout the meeting. He has a dozen horses in charge of trainer H. J. Thompson. He was visited in his box during the afternoon by James Murphy of New Orleans, long affiliated with racing in managerial capacity.
