BAY ANGON, much the best and slightly forced back leaving the back stretch, saved ground entering the stretch and, closing with a belated rush, easily wore down the leaders. SHAKER LADY showed speed from the start, saved ground in the stretch and overtook TADCASTER in the final stride. The latter, showing good speed, was well rated, but tired badly. HIGH PROOF began slowly. PEGGY LEHMANN raced wide. SUNIDAY met interference. GRAND CHAMPION showed early speed. The latter raced a trifle wide throughout withstood the drive gamely and finished fastest of all. ROYAL SPORT was in hand until the final five-sixteenths and tired after challenging in the stretch. VESEE had no mishaps. SANDWRACK, on the inside almost throughout, could not reach the leaders. EL PUMA, away slowly, was outrun.
