6a OAKS CANDIDATES TO MEET Suntica, Canron and Kakapo Among Starters Today at Arlington Park Course. ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, 111., June 27. Seven candidates for the 5,000 added Arlington Oaks, feature of Saturdays program at Arlington Park, will start in the Bouquet, which, with the Gold Coast Stakes, will head the Tuesday card at the northwest side course. Willis Sharpe Kilmer and Robert S. Clark will furnish the top weights in Suntica and Kakapo, respectively, each to carry 117 pounds. Suntica has the Kentucky and Illinois Oaks to her credit this season, while Kakapo, winner of the Kentucky Jockey Club Stakes last year, ran third at Toronto in her only start this year. Benny Creech has named W. R. Coes Polonaise, one of the outstanding juvenile fillies last year, while Canron, winner of the Lady Baltimore Stakes at Pimlico in May, will represent W. W. Vaughn. Late Date, Audley Farms filly which was beaten only a nose in the Illinois Oaks, is among the entries, as is E. R. Bradleys Boiling Water and A. Charles Schwartz Flag Trick, both of which have shown speed on eastern tracks. Top Flight, champion juvenile of 1931 and victorious in the Coaching Club American Oaks recently at Belmont Park, signalized her readiness for Saturdays mile and a furlong event by working the full distance in 1:53 Monday morning. The speedy daughter of Dis Done arrived from New York Sunday in splendid condition. Although the track was not at its best due to the rain Sunday night, Top Flight went through her workout in creditable fashion and trainer Thomas J. Healey was well pleased at her performance. She was timed for the half-mile in :47, three-quarters in 1:13, and the mile in 1:38, and was not distressed at the end. Mrs. John Hertz Seven Veils, another candidate for the Oaks, continued her satisfactory preparation by going a mile in 1:42, after negotiating the first six furlongs in 1:16. Another outstanding trial of the morning was turned in by Equipoise, the outstanding older horse shown this season. The Whitney colorbearer went nine furlongs in 1:53, half in :48, three-quarters in 1:13 and mile in 1:39. R. M. Eastmans Cathop and W. S. Kilmers Sunmelus continued their training for the Classic, the former going three-quarters in 1:16 and the latter five furlongs in 1:01. Red Whisk, worked five-eighths in 1:001S.
