STEPENFETCHIT STARTS TODAY ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, 111., June 28. Stepenfetchit, star three-year-old in the stable of Mrs. John Hay Whitney, will attempt to make amends for his poor showing in the American Derby when he goes postward in the Garfield Stakes, ,500 added feature at Arlington Park Wednesday. The colt, which will carry 112 pounds, has drawn an outside post position in a fourteen-horse field and the company which he will race with is capable of testing his ability. Other starters in the Garfield Stakes, which will have its first running tomorrow, are Adobe Post, Marmion, Springsteel, Our Fancy, Yonkel, Masked Knight, Evergold and Cathop. The distance is one mile.
