TO CONSIDER FLORIDA DATES MIAMI, Fla., June 27. The Florida State Racing Commission will meet at the offices of the commission in Tallahassee on July 11 and 12 to consider applications for permits for horse and dog racing during the winter. R. B. Burdine, chairman of the commission, stated that section five of the racing law provides all applications to conduct tracks must be filed with the commission on or before July 1, and the board must pass on the application on or before August 15. He also pointed out that applications for permits must be made by all tracks, including those that held a permit for racing last season as well as corporations or individuals desirous of holding meetings for the first time during the coming season.
