: i MOUNT ROYAL OPENS TODAY MONTREAL, Que., Aug. 19. Racing returns to Montreal Saturday to make its final stand of two weeks, completing the shortest season of the sport the metropolis has enjoyed in recent years. The meeting at the Mount Royal track, which opens Saturday, will be followed by seven days racing at Blue Bonnets, under the new ownership and management of that course. Racing has done well in Montreal, despite the depression, and there is every indication that the end of the season will see continuance of interest. An interesting inaugural is looked for at Mount Royal Saturday, this course holding the distinction of attracting the seasons largest crowd on the closing day of its midsummer session.
