SPORTSMANS PARK FIGURES National Jockey Club Distributes 5,500 Among Winning Owners. C. E. Davison First Among Owners and Trainers Jack Alexander Heads the Winning Horses. Owners who participated in the Sportsmans Park meeting, Chicagos new half-mile track, shared 5,500 among them over the nineteen day period of racing from October 10 to October 31. The average for the ninteen days was ,973.68. C. E. Davison had no rivals among the other owners as a money winner, his horses earning ,150, winning twelve races, finishing second in six and third in three. Davison won nearly double the sum credited to S. and G. Gorbet, who were second with ,630. Stuyvesant Peabody did well when his horses earned ,235. The veteran Jack Alexander made the best showing among the horses with money winnings of ,900. Pollys Folly was next with ,445. E. Arcaro piloted twenty-eight winners and was the sensation among the riders. He had a percentage of .28. J. McLaren scored with twelve of his mounts and C. King was able to guide home nine winners. C. E. Davison, besides taking the money winning honors among the owners, also took first place in the trainers division, because he trains his own horses, also some for other owners and his total of fourteen winning horses easily gave him first place.
