1 NEW YORK TURF NOTES Adolph Pons was a visitor at Belmont Park and inspected the yearlings George Odom has in his charge. H. C. Riddle will ship the pretentious stable owned by J. J. Robinson to the Fair Grounds, New Orleans, in the future. Clarence Buxton shipped to Columbia, S. C, the horses that he had here for J. H. Louchheim. Buxton will select a dozen or so, including two-year-olds, for winter racing at Havana. E. J. Hodgson will ship to Jefferson Park for that meeting. Joe Healy has completed arrangements to leave for Havana next week. Word was received from Saratoga that Laverne Fator will spend the next few weeks in that section hunting. Edward F. Simms shipped eight horses to Paris Ky., destined for winter quarters. They left Thursday. J. A. Coburn has made arrangements to ship to Laurel Monday. Unable to obtain stabling at Bowie, he will van from one track to the other. John J. Brady of the Horsemens Transportation Association, will leave for Pimlico next -week to arrange for winter shipments to different points. Joe Bauer will winter the T. M. Cassidy horses at Columbia this winter. He has not set a date for shipment. Fourteen, which was recently purchased by J. Simon Healy, "was fired in the front ankles recently by Dr. M. J. Dair. J. Simon Healy, will undergo an operation for rupture next week at a New York hospital. J. W. "Bud" May will race a public stable at Miami this winter. He has several horses ! for Mrs. Katherine Elkins Hitt in his care.
