SCHANK FUNERAL TODAY HOMEWOOD, 111., May 31. Scores of racing notables and turfmen, tomorrow, will pay their last respects to John Charles Schank, nationally known turf figure, who died suddenly at his Chicago Iiome early Tuesday. Funeral services for the beloved head of the Chicago Business Mens Racing Association, and Crescent City Jockey Club, operating the Hawthorne and Fair Grounds, New Orleans tracks, respectively, are to be held from the late residence, 6720 Oglesby avenue, at two oclock Thursday afternoon and will be followed by rites at the Salem Evangelical church, 6820 Emerald avenue. Burial will be in Oakwood cemetery. Delegations from the several fraternal organizations and clubs in which Mr. Schank held membership, will participate in the services. Hundreds of message of sympathy from notables in all parts of the country have been received by the dead sportsmans surviving sisters, Katherine and Elizabeth Schank, and floral tributes by the score, bank the bier.
