PORTLAND MEETING POSTPONED SAN FRANCISCO, Calif., May 31. Owing to a scarcity of horses on the Pacific Coast, brought about by the extension of the racing at Tanforan, the meeting scheduled to open June 7 at Gresham Park, Portland, Ore., has been indefinitely postponed. John Jerome of San Francisco, promoter of the meeting, announced that new dates would be made public as soon as sufficient racing material becomes available.
