CONTRABAND saved ground entering the stretch, came out sharply in the final eighth and held, on well. NITUMA held on well. SPANISH WAY began in a tangle and raced wide throughout. GENERAL PARTH, blocked early, worked his way to the outside in the stretch and closed well. ARYOUTHERE met early interference, was forced wide by the winner on the stretch turn and tired. CHERRY TIME was taken up when ROULADE bore over, but saved much ground. KING FARO began slowly. MONTY M., in close quarters early, quit after three-eighths. SUNSHINE BOY showed early speed. FAYETTE PRINCE had to race wide throughout, responded to strong urging and outgamed GRACIOUS GIFT. The latter, a strong factor from the start, held on gamely. ROYAL TREASURE began slowly. BLACK COMET tired after half a mile. FIREFLASH showed speed and was tiring when impeded in the stretch. CHU CHU was always far back. SMEAR was outrun. The latter, close up from the start and in hand for half a mile, went gamely in the drive. LONESOME PINE began slowly. LADY OF GRACE began fast, but could not keep up.
