Bill. H. P. Pfenninger checked in with Blind Hills, Anavah and Whisp. H. G. Knott registered Solus and Col. Cloister. F. Wright has Flapper and Miss Chilla here. New jockey arrivals include A. Fermin, J. "Kelly, L. Canfield, E.. Neal and L. Nelson. - Richard Leigh, racing secretary at Fair-, mount Park, announced before leaving for St. Louis that he would accept applications for. stable room at the Collinsville course. The address is Box 111, Collinsville, 111. "Bud" Guest registered Gumtree and Eddie Lehmann. Wl J. Marlman is on the grounds with Reighburn, On Trial, and Tchadex. G. Armstrong registered Crossed Wires, Two Maids, Miss Terry and Be Brilliant. Frank Perry was an arrival with Bonnet, Constance Ann, Sunset and Trying. Frankic Hawley, who acts as custodian of the jockeys room at several tracks, is handling the following jockeys at Thistle Down: L. Hendricks, C. Mills, R. Cooper, D. Taylor, J. Julian and J. Dupuy. Lonnie Hendricks was suspended five days by the stewards for rough riding Monday. W. F. Taylor has the following horses on the grounds: Harlem, Backstep and Back Kick. A promising apprentice rider here is R. Haber, under contract to Butsey Hernandez. Haber is a New Orleans boy and formerly was employed by the late Joseph Leiter. He has been exercising horses for two years and recently won a race at Columbus. . He is a brother to the former national amateur featherweight champion, J. Haber of New Orleans. J. Manale, with a string headed by Sunny Sideup was slated to arrive here Thursday, according to word received by Bill Walker, stall man. W. H Denham, who has reservaflons here for eighteen head, cancelled his shipment. Word, was ... received here that Benny Creech would ship part of his stable here from Chicago. Virgil . Moore, who was badly hurt in a recent spill a: Cranwood, has resumed .riding. His former employer, William Potter of Mobile is on thn grounds and won a race Tuesday with Transformation. . Gene Lutzis planning to dispose of most of" the .horses he now has on hand, which include Bill Lutz, Nell Kuhlman and others. He plans to start the winter campaign with an entirely new string. L. Fage, at one. time a promising rider and formerly in the employ of the late Stuart Polk, is on the grounds exercising horses for M. Simmons. He has grown too heavy to ride. "Brownie Held, in addition to his duties as placing judge, has proven a valuable assistant to Gene Bury in the secretarys office.
