PURSES AT CONNAUGHT PARK MONTREAL, Que., Aug. 3 Books for the Connaught Park meeting made their appearance this morning at Dorval Park and were approved by the owners and trainers. Many who had made arrangements to ship to the United States have changed their plans and will go to Connaught Park. The books show purses of a value of 00 and 00. Two special trains will leave Montreal at the conclusion of the present meeting. The first will leave Monday night and the second Wednesday. The officials who are here will leave Thursday night. Those desiring stalls for the meeting should make application to judge W. J. Morris at Dorval race course, as he is looking after the shipments.
