DON MANUEL, much the best and starting fast, was taken under restraint on the turn, easily disposed of DUST GIRL and won in hand. The latter took command quickly, saved ground throughout and, although I overmatched, held on well. LE MISERABLE raced wide throughout and tired near the end. BITTYBIT was strongly urged in the final three-eighths. INDIAN RED began slowly. SECRET TRYST was hard urged from the start and tired badly in the stretch. Scratched 84929 Mad Passion, 105. STIMULATOR, fractious at the post and away fast, forced the early pace, took command and, under strong pressure, held BARRY safe. The latter, taken to the outside on the turn, closed strongly. ETCETERA, hustled along from the start, saved ground throughout and tired badly in the last eighth. OUT BOUND, slow to get going and inclined to bear in, closed well. BLUE LAW finished gamely. BETTY BARRET lost much ground, then moved up fast entering the stretch and withstood pressure gamely. ANITA ORMONT had no mishaps. HARUM SCARUM could not reach the leaders. CAPTAIN ED was outrun. RUBIO worked his way clear on the turn, saved ground in the closing three-eighths and tired in the last eighth. FANFERN tired under strong urging. BACK LOG was not a factor. JOURNEYS END failed to respond to vigorous hand riding. SINGING HEART, rank at the post, sulked. PREFER, away poorlv, had little chance. EVELINE F. also got away poorly. SETHS BALLOT raced poorlv. BRAINS quit. CHIEFS CHALLENGER was as cood as left at the start.
