KENTUCKYS CLAIMING RULE LEXINGTON Ky May 19 Secretary Thomas R Underwood of the Kentucky State Racing Commission late this after ¬ noon stated that the expected meeting of the commission at Louisville tomorrow cannot be held on account of the inability of chair ¬ man Polk Laffoon and others to attend Ha said however that vicechairman William B Smith had consulted the wishes of the mem ¬ bers by telephone and that the old closed claiming rule will be substituted for the open claiming rule during the early part of the Latonia meeting and until such time as It is possible to have a meeting of the full commission to determine upon the adoption of proposed amendments
