NANNY D., rushed to command early, continued gamely thereafter, offered good contention, but was not good enough. LUCKY AMELIA, under reserve early, was on the inside throughout, was forced back approaching the stretch and gave a good performance. CLAFLAG, slow to begin, was rushed to contention and raced well to the final eighth, then faltered. COTTON TIME raced evenly under a hustling ride. BOBBIE R. was outrun, as was INTERIOR. LUCK PIECE, cleverly handled, was taken to the lead gradually, drew clear under mild urging, continued gamely, but had to be roused briskly in the closing stages to hold LONGUS safe. The latter gained gradually, closed gamely and was wearing down the winner ncaring the finish. EASY BID, under stout restraint for a half mile, maintained a forward position when urged and offered strong contention while submitting. LILAC BLOOM tired under punishment. TEENY WEENY quit after forcing the early pace. TROTWOOD could not improve his position. SWEET GAL was eased after a half mile. TRAUMAGNE and RED SPIDER were cased in the stretch. HUSKER H. raced evenly without mishap. The others were outrun. HUSKER H ALCOVE and CHERRY KEY delayed the start.
